We have heard your feedback about our PPS bearings and have discontinued them. The PPS bearings (white cages) did not perform up to the high quality standards we and our customers demand. They have been replaced with bearings using PAEK (black cages) or in some cases phenolic for the cage material.
PAEK is a stronger cage material than PPS and more resistant to chemical intrusion. They handle being in poor maintenance conditions and resist sterilization better than the PPS material. PAEK cages are black and are shown as such in our bearing images and cross section views. Most Perfection bearings feature the black PAEK cage though a limited selection will have orange phenolic cages.
Our improved bearings are our Perfection high speed bearings are:
- German manufactured
- Specifically designed for general use in high speed dental handpieces
- Common design, radial (deep groove) for easier handling and installation
- Available with either stainless steel or ceramic balls
- New generation PAEK cage for longer life, high sterilization resistance, and acceptable performance in poor maintenance environments
- Limited items with phenolic cage based on specific application requirements
- Infused with special lubricant developed for high speed dental handpieces
- Supplied as singles or in 10-piece multipacks at a lower per piece price
